O'Rourke Sales Company - Today

O'Rourke Sales Company - Yesterday
O'Rourke Bros. has been in the distribution business since 1965, well before digital satellite became a hot-ticket electronics' item. In fact, their distribution business got started when the oldest brother, Jim, became interested in CB radios. That was two to three years before the CB boom. In that year, the two brothers - Jeff and Jim - started buying and selling CBs. Their success was generated from the sale of their first CB which inspired them to immediately purchase 200 more, which were sold before the day was out.
Jeff and Jim are just two of the six brothers in the O'Rourke family. Their parents, Leo and Theresa, instilled an integral sense of perseverance, honesty, morality, loyalty, and dedication to service in each of their six sons; and it was through their encouragement that Jeff and Jim, the original O'Rourke Bros., launched a lucrative career in the distribution of electronic products. Jay, their younger brother, entered the picture upon graduation from technical school. Their brother, Joe, became part of the rapidly growing family distributorship in 1981. Today, Jim, Joe, and Jeff own the corporation; each has his own responsibilities, which is why the family-run company has been so successful. The dealers prefer OSC because the company has grown from a small CB operation to one with multiple locations throughout the U.S. Much of their success comes from a simple philosophy: providing excellence in customer service and making sure that each employee knows every aspect of the business. Dealers can also talk directly to the owners as they are very involved with every aspect of the business. They take care of their customers, and realize they are their business.

OSC 2008
Denver Colorado is added to O'Rourke Sales Company's strategically placed warehouse and shipping facilities servicing the West Coast with the latest in consumer electronics, training and customer service.
OSC 2005
With the relocation of two branches to larger facilities, OSC is always looking for ways to better service our dealers. With the launch of a new website mid-year, a wide array of consumer electronics, high-end appliances, appliances and satellite products can be viewed. By year end, dealers will be able to access a wide variety of tools to assist them in checking models and inventory status, view their accounts and much more.
OSC 2003
OSC moved their administrative and warehousing functions into a new, state-of-the-art warehousing facility in Davenport, Iowa. Many efficiencies were realized as the company's growth pattern continues to explode with the advent of additional sales to the rental industry.
OSC 2002
Additional investment was made by the principals of OSC into a new, customized distribution software package which greatly enhanced the ability for OSC to automate the purchase order/order entry/inventory/warehouse and shipping process. The dealers are well pleased with the timely communication now received.
